How to find Departments
Log in to Woba Suite
Select Organization and Employees from the menu on the left
Select Organization
Go to Departments
Here, you get a complete overview of the organization’s departments and sub-departments.
Create a new department
Click Add Department at the top of the page.
At a minimum, you must enter a name for the department.
You can also add relevant information about the department, including:
Department Manager
Parent Department
Location
Department Administrators
Employees
Language
Once the relevant information has been entered, click Create Department.
The department will then become part of your organizational structure.
💡 Tip: Use Parent Department if the new department should be placed under an existing department in your organizational structure.
Edit an existing department
If you want to change the information for an existing department:
Find the department under Departments
Open the menu next to the department you want to edit
Select the option to edit the department
Make the desired changes
Save the changes
For example, you can change the department’s name, manager, placement in the organizational structure, administrators, employees, and other information.
Activate or deactivate a department
Under Status, you can activate or deactivate a department.
Use the status function if a department should no longer be active in the organization without having to recreate the organizational structure.
When the status is changed, the department’s status is updated directly in Woba.
Do you need to create many departments?
If you need to create or maintain multiple departments, we recommend using import and export via Excel instead of creating each department manually.
This makes it easier to work with a larger organizational structure and manage multiple departments at once.
💡 Best practice: Read Tips for setting up an organization in Woba Suite to see how you can use Excel to import and export your department structure.
